This was my favorite stop on our Barcelona mini-trip. Not only was it free, but it provided amazing backdrops for camera-friendly tourists.
Like the cathedral in the previous post, this park was designed by Guadi between 1900-1914. It was originally designed as the site for a housing development, but the housing development never took off, likely because it was too far from Barcelona’s city center. It was built on the hill of el Carmel, which provides amazing views of the city–all the way to the sea. Also, this park was the site for the runway showdown on America’s Next Top Model.
