Bubby's in Tribeca and Native in Harlem

I feel SO grateful to have so many friends along the East Coast who are willing to hop on a Megabus and journey to NYC.  I have not seen my dear friend and former roommate since she moved to Baltimore last Fall.  She came up to NYC for a day of play.

The morning started in Tribeca at  Bubby's.  We went at an "off" time--Friday morning around 10:45 a.m.--but the place was full. The wild Maine blueberry pancakes were absolutely delicious--no syrup needed!  I hear their brunch is amazing--but be prepared to wait in line!

After some window shopping in SoHo and a stop near Columbia, we found ourselves at Native for happy hour.  This Harlem hot spot, located on Lenox at 118th, has stiff drinks, low prices, and a laid-back vibe.  UPDATE 11/6/14: I'm sad to report that Native has shut its doors.
