Foodie at Thanksgiving: Each One Feed Some

"For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required..."  Luke 12:48 I had the pleasure of serving some very grateful people in the Baton Rouge community an early Thanksgiving dinner.  The church I grew up in, Greene Chapel A.M.E. Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, organized a free dinner for the Baton Rouge community.  This meal was entirely sponsored by a few people in my very small church.  It was more of a pot-luck than a typical "soup kitchen" meal.  Everyone brought their signature dish----and lots of it.

Ham and one juicy turkey!

Green beans, cornbread dressing, and dirty rice

Delicious homemade bread pudding! (whiskey sauce not pictured)

I am so glad that I was able to be a part of a church that is reaching out to their community, and I highly encourage all of you to find a way to give back this holiday season.

Have a  Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
